Lauderhill, Florida – In a significant achievement for both herself and the city she leads, Mayor Denise Grant has been named in Legacy Magazine’s 2025 list of Florida’s Most Influential & Prominent Black Women in Business and Industry. This prestigious recognition speaks volumes about the trust and support she has garnered from the Lauderhill community.

•   Senior Utility Relief: Nearly $1 million earmarked to assist seniors with their water bills, ensuring they can maintain their homes with dignity.

•   Food Security Advance: Allocation of $100,000 to combat food insecurity among the most vulnerable populations in the community.

•   Lauderhill University: Launch of a pioneering program designed to educate high school students about local government and civic engagement.

•   Tea Time with Seniors: A program fostering education, wellness, and connection for the senior population.

•   Adopt a Park Initiative: Efforts aimed at beautifying public spaces and strengthening community pride.

•   Mayor’s Listening Tour: Engaging in community conversations to help shape policies and programs.

•   Youth Mentoring and Wellness Initiatives: Programs designed for youths and student-athletes to enhance their development.

•   Infrastructure Improvement Request: Submission of a multimillion-dollar appropriation request to state legislatures in Tallahassee for improvements to infrastructure, including underground utilities, roads, lights, and stormwater management.

•   Community Cleanup Program: An upcoming initiative on January 10, 2026, engaging 1,000 residents and community leaders to work together in keeping Lauderhill clean.
