Grade Six students at Priory Primary and Infant School in St. Ann were encouraged to dream big and look beyond the upcoming March 2027 Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examinations as team members from Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Plantation visited the school for an engaging vision board activity.
With the students preparing for PEP in the coming months, the activity provided an opportunity to step away from the pressure of examinations and focus on their aspirations, goals and the future they hope to create. Armed with magazines, words, images and plenty of creativity, the students transformed their vision boards into colourful representations of their dreams, from future careers and academic achievements to personal goals.
Principal of Priory Primary and Infant School, Mr. Collin Hall, welcomed the initiative and highlighted the importance of helping students develop confidence alongside their academic preparation.

“When children are given the opportunity to dream, they begin to understand that their circumstances today do not have to define their tomorrow. Activities like this encourage our students to believe in themselves, set goals and recognise that with hard work and the right support, their dreams can become a reality,” Hall said.
The teams from Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Plantation interacted with the students throughout the activity, encouraging them to think about what success looks like for them and the steps they can take to get there. The session also served as a reminder that while PEP is an important milestone, it is only one step in a much larger journey.
Keish Beckford, regional public relations coordinator for Sandals Dunn’s River, said the activity was designed to help the students approach the months ahead with confidence while keeping their bigger goals in sight.
“We wanted the students to understand that PEP is just one chapter in their story, not the entire story. It is important for them to prepare, work hard and give their best, but just as important is having the confidence to dream about where they want to go. Seeing the students bring their ideas to life through their vision boards was a wonderful reminder of the power of encouragement and community support,” Beckford said.
The activity gave the students an opportunity to express themselves while creating a tangible reminder of the goals they have set. As they prepare to take on PEP, their vision boards now stand as a reminder of what they hope to achieve and the possibilities that await them.
For the students of Priory Primary and Infant School, the message was simple: dream boldly, prepare intentionally and believe in the future you are working
