KFC Jamaica Donates 700k To Sponsor Child Month initiatives

KFC Jamaica is proud to announce its continued partnership with the National Child Month Committee's 2024 Child Month initiatives. This year, the initiatives are being observed under the theme 'Stand Up! Speak Out! Protect the Rights of Our Children'. As a major sponsor, KFC Jamaica has donated J$700,000, which includes J$200,000 in cash and 400 meals for care packages for underserved children.

The collaboration between KFC Jamaica and the National Child Month Committee began during the COVID-19 pandemic when the quick-service restaurant operator provided meal sponsorship for the Children's Pickney Party Talent Showcase in 2020. This partnership has continued to thrive, with KFC Jamaica expressing its delight in supporting the Child Month initiatives once again. Restaurants of Jamaica Brand Manager, Andrei Roper, stated, "Preserving the rights of our children remains of the utmost importance to us at KFC. We realize that there are children in our society who are particularly at much greater risk, and we intend to do our part, alongside the National Child Month Committee, to help ensure that these children receive the assistance they so greatly need."

KFC Jamaica firmly believes in the importance of child development and is committed to providing children with the best environment to learn, grow, and thrive. Roper added, "Through this partnership, we aim to provide a safe and secure environment so children can receive the love, guidance, and support they deserve to reach their full potential."

Chairperson of the National Child Month Committee, Nicole Patrick-Shaw, expressed gratitude to KFC Jamaica for their continuous support. She stated, "KFC has been a fabulous partner for us, especially during our challenging moments in the COVID-19 pandemic. We are happy to have the team at KFC on board again for this year's initiatives as they have always been a generous sponsor. The children are always excited to receive meals from KFC, and it brings us joy that they play such a large role in making the children feel special."

The National Child Month Committee, established in 1953, is dedicated to promoting the social, mental, and physical wellness of children. They organize various youth initiatives throughout the year, including Child Month in May and Youth Month in November.

KFC Jamaica's partnership with the National Child Month Committee exemplifies their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children in Jamaica. By supporting initiatives that protect the rights of children, KFC Jamaica is helping to create a better future for the next generation.
