ISSA Trust Foundation Issues 191 Custom Eyeglasses To Their Staff & Students

The Issa Trust Foundation and the Michigan Lions conducted a Vision. Mission in Jamaica in October 2023 where they conducted a free eye examination of several school students in Westmoreland, as well as the staff at the Couples Resorts in Negril. Free eyeglasses were issued to those who
needed them.

For those whom the doctors did not have the type of prescription glasses on hand on the day of exams, they went back to Michigan and had over 191 glasses made for some students and staff.

The Prescription glasses that were made are eyeglasses that are custom-made to address an individual's specific vision needs. They are designed to correct refractive errors, such as nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, and presbyopia.

The Vision Mission was coordinated by the President of the Issa Trust Foundation, Diane Pollard along with The Michigan Lions and Alexandra Ghisays of Couples Resorts.
The schools that participated in the program include the Rockhouse School, Unity Primary School, Little London Primary School and the Savanna-La-Mar Primary School.
