Jamaican star Khadija "Bunny" Shaw continued her red-hot scoring form, propelling Manchester City to a crucial 2-1 victory over Everton in the Women's Super League (WSL) on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024.

Shaw's predatory instincts were on display in the 15th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by Everton. Seizing on a misjudged back pass, she calmly slotted the ball into the empty net, marking her 15th goal in just 14 WSL appearances for Manchester City this season. This clinical finish not only secured her team the lead but also propelled them to the top of the WSL table.

While Manchester City now enjoys the top spot, the title race remains fiercely competitive. Lauren Hemp extended their lead to 2-0 before Everton's Hanna Bennison pulled one back with a stunning long-range strike. Despite maintaining a lead, Gareth Taylor's City side remains just three points ahead of Chelsea, who have played one fewer game. This close margin highlights the intense competition for the coveted WSL title this season.
